> Allow it to cool before opening. Empty the leaves, wash, rinse thoroughly, and dry completely.

> For blends requiring simmering or larger quantities of herbs, follow the blend’s brewing directions and use an appropriately sized brewing vessel and strainer.

How does the strainer open?

How much tea should I put inside?
Follow your tea’s directions and leave room for expansion. If the recommended amount crowds the basket, use a larger infuser.

Can I use it for finely powdered herbs?
Very fine particles may pass through the mesh. A paper filter or finer filtration method may work better for powdered blends.

Can I use it for a only roots and bark blend?
No. Follow the blend’s preparation instructions. Herbs requiring simmering are generally better prepared in a pot, then strained afterward.

Will it keep every particle out of my cup?
It holds larger leaves and herb pieces, but fine sediment may pass through.

Is it dishwasher-safe?
Hand-washing is recommended unless dishwasher compatibility has been confirmed for this strainer.

How do I clean leaves trapped in the mesh?
Once cool, open the basket and rinse from both sides. Use a soft brush gently, then wash and dry thoroughly.

How often should I replace it?
Replace according to condition rather than a calendar. Damaged mesh, exposed wires, corrosion, or a faulty closure mean it is time for a replacement.
