The story behind Herbs of Her
Herbs of Her is more than an apothecary. It's a celebration of botanical wisdom, thoughtful craftsmanship, and the beautiful connection between nature and everyday wellness.

Our story
Growing up Jamaican, bush medicine was simply part of life. I watched my mother and grandmother reach for herbs, roots, leaves, teas, and traditional remedies for everyday ailments and wellness. There was always something brewing, steeping, soaking, or being prepared with a purpose. It wasn’t called “alternative wellness.” It was knowledge passed down through generations, and it was simply what we knew.
As I got older, I lost touch with that part of myself. Life changed, modern conveniences took over, and somewhere along the way, I drifted away from the traditions I had grown up with.
Then came my own struggles with uterine fibroids.
I found myself with a desperate need to better understand my body, what was happening within it, and how I could become more intentional about my own wellness. That journey brought me back to the plants.
I began researching, studying, asking questions, and reconnecting with the herbal traditions that had once been so familiar to me. What started as a personal journey became a genuine love for herbalism and eventually, Herbs of Her was born.
In many ways, Herbs of Her wasn't about discovering something new. It was about finding my way back to something that had always been there.
Inspired by traditional herbal wisdom, we make space for the quiet knowledge carried through generations and the everyday beauty of living closer to nature.
Each blend reflects a thoughtful journey from botanical selection to careful preparation made with intention, respect, and a deep appreciation for the plants themselves.

Herbs of Her is where ancestral knowledge, thoughtful herbalism, and modern everyday wellness meet.
For me, it is also something much more personal.
It is a return to my roots, a continuation of what the women before me carried, and a way to keep that knowledge growing for the generations that come after us.
